Dr Melissa Baxendale

Dental Surgeon, BDSc (Hons), PGDip (Clear Aligners - City of London Dental School)

Dr Melissa Baxendale graduated from The University of Queensland with First Class Honours and is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Clear Aligners with EODO, recognised by the City of London Dental School (EduQual Level 7). A Brisbane local, Melissa is deeply committed to lifelong learning and regularly dedicates her weekends to continuing professional development.

She has been an active member of the Australian Society of Periodontology Queensland (ASPQ) for the past two years and frequently undertakes advanced training to refine her skills in cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and patient communication.

Melissa’s philosophy of care is centred on comfort, trust, and personalised treatment. She believes every patient deserves her best, and measures success by the confidence and happiness of those she treats. With a strong focus on communication, Melissa ensures her patients feel informed, supported, and at ease throughout their dental journey.

While she finds all aspects of dentistry rewarding, Melissa has a particular passion for cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and implant dentistry. Her goal is to create smiles that are not only beautiful, but also harmonious and functional, recognising that each patient requires a tailored and thoughtful approach. Melissa remains committed to ongoing education and embracing emerging dental techniques to provide the highest standard of care.

Melissa grew up in Brisbane and has never lived anywhere else. Outside of dentistry, she and her partner adore their two long-haired sausage dogs, who are very much treated like family. She enjoys baking sweet treats (a dentist’s guilty pleasure), experimenting with cocktail making, and keeping active through beach walks and group fitness. Melissa can also speak a little German, having spent several months travelling throughout Germany and she is always looking forward to her next adventure.
